If you already own a domain, we can help connect it to your new website. If you do not have one yet, we can help you choose and purchase one through a domain partner, or you can buy it directly through a registrar such as Namecheap.
Do I own my domain name?
Yes. Your domain should be registered in your name or your business name. We can help with setup, but you should remain the owner of the domain whenever possible.
Can Ecropolis buy the domain for me?
Yes. Ecropolis can help procure domains at cost through a domain partner when that is the easiest path. We will make the ownership and renewal details clear before purchase.
Can I use Namecheap?
Yes. Namecheap is a good option for many small businesses that want to manage domain registration directly. If you purchase through Namecheap, we can help you point the domain to your new website.
What if I already have a domain somewhere else?
That is usually fine. We can work with most major registrars. You will need access to the domain account or be able to invite us to help with DNS settings.
Do I need to transfer my domain to Ecropolis?
Usually no. In most cases, we can connect your website without transferring the domain. If a transfer ever makes sense, we will explain why before making changes.
Will Ecropolis offer domain registration directly?
We may add more direct domain registration options in the future. For now, we can help procure domains through a partner or guide you through a registrar such as Namecheap.
